Beginning Ballet: At ages 4 to 8, students are
introduced to simple ballet steps and
corresponding French vocabulary. Children learn
the proper attire and disciplined conduct, which will
help them prepare for the more structured training
in intermediate ballet. A variety of music and
movement create an exciting atmosphere for a
fulfilling learning experience.

Adv. Beginners Ballet: Adv. Beginners Ballet: will
carefully train a child's body for correct placement
for classical dance, teach terminology, musical
phrasing, stretch and strengthen the body in
preparation for the challenging years ahead. It will
take the young dancer through "connecting" steps
and port de bras.

Youth Jazz:: Like ballet, jazz training focuses on
body placement and rhythmic movement. A
separate study of ballet is strongly recommended
for all jazz dance students in order to assist with the
correct placement and alignment of the body.

Beginning Tap:: Tap training can begin as early as
Kindergarten age, where students are introduced to
elementary rhythms and use of the body, legs and
feet in basic tap steps. We combine fun, discipline
and training to ensure dancers have the best
opportunity to grow at their own pace regardless of
whether their goal is a professional career, or
personal enjoyment.

Basic Hip-Hop: A beginner level class in which
students will be introduced to the concepts of
freestyle/street dance. Dance experience is not
necessary but is helpful. It emphasizes body
movement and rhythm.

Adv. Beginners Tap: As students mature and
progress, increasingly demanding technical
exercises are taught. Students are given some
musical context for better understanding tap dance
as an American artistic expression, and are
exposed to jazz, funk, and blues music.

Int. Advanced Tap: Rhythm, beat, clarity of sound,
speed, precision, and technique are emphasized.
Advanced students are challenged with more
complex exercises and routine dances. Students
have opportunities for master classes and
workshops with professional tap dancers.
(Performance opportunities available)

Intermediate/Advanced Modern: is a class that will
focus on body alignment, core strength building,
and an expanding dance vocabulary using a variety
of modern and jazz styles and techniques. Class is
done with bare feet, and emphasis will be placed
upon learning new ways of exploring weight, space,
breath and support, improvisation, body patterning,
spinal coordination and performance qualities.

Adult Dance: All classes provide a cardio-vascular
workout, keep your muscles toned and improve
flexibility. Many different styles and techniques are
explored in our class to expose our students to as
many styles of jazz, modern & ballet dance as
possible. Creativity, self-expression, strength and
technique are stressed.

Character Dance: Character dance is a creative
group class in which musical stories and songs
are acted out in dance movement. Students learn
partner and ensemble work through routines and
dances. Regular classes will keep you in training,
and constantly provide you with new and
challenging choreography.

Hip-Hop: covers the newest hip-hop and funk
moves from L.A. and New York. It is a form that
evolved out of street and brake dancing moves, and
is characterized by its vigorous athletics and bouncy
style. Hip Hop is danced primarily to Hip Hop, Rap
and R & B music, and kneepads are needed for all
levels above basic.

Lyrical Jazz Dance: maintains the rhythmic
characteristics that define Jazz, but it incorporates
elements of Ballet and Modern Dance to give it a
smooth, lengthened look and lyrical quality.
